CNC Lathes and CNC Mills

Our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes provide complete machine production and prototype services.    They can produce parts up to 31” in diameter and up to 60” in length. Our big bore lathe has an 8” diameter through the spindle and can work on 20-foot-long parts.

Conventional Lathes and Mills

Even with CNC machining, there is still a need for conventional lathes and mills, especially for short runs and prototypes where it is more expensive to use a machining center. Our conventional lathes range from a vertical turret lathe (a Broadbent lathe)—which has a capacity of 80” in diameter and 57” inch vertical height— To our smaller lathes that can turn parts 12 feet in length.

We also have both horizontal and vertical mills for added versatility. These machines provide the ability to meet the demand for precision repairs and prototypes required by many our customers. In addition, our capabilities extend to small-surface grinding and an in-house tool and cutter grinding department.

Welding

We are also able to weld all types of metal. We specialize in MIG, TIG, and arc welding. We can perform light to medium fabrication work as needed to supplement our customer needs.

Reverse Engineering

With the use of a portable Faro Quantum MV2 ARM with a Laser Line scanning probe and Geomagic software that allows easy data manipulation of point clouds with millions of data points, Source Too Machine can reverse engineer the most complex of parts and provide 3D renderings and solid models for those parts.
