Source Too Machine, Inc. can machine parts using a variety of metals and other materials. Please contact us if you would like to know if we can machine a material not listed below.

Aluminum

Aluminum is a soft, durable, lightweight, and malleable metal. Aluminum is a remarkable and versatile metal because of its low density and ability to resist corrosion. Aluminum is vital to the aerospace industry and is also used in transportation and building.

Brass

Brass is used when low friction is required, such as in locks, gears, bearings, doorknobs, ammunition, and valves. It is also found in plumbing and electrical components, and many musical instruments—such as horns and bells—use brass because of its acoustic properties. Because it is softer than most other metals, brass is often used in situations where sparks must be avoided, such as in fittings and tools around explosive gases.

Stainless Steel

There are different grades and surface finishes of stainless steel, but its resistance to corrosion and staining, low maintenance, relatively low cost, and familiar luster make it an ideal material for many applications.

Steel

Steel is one of the most common materials in the world. It is a major component in buildings, infrastructure, tools, ships, automobiles, machines, appliances, and weapons.

Titanium

Titanium has a low density and is a strong, lustrous, corrosion-resistant transition metal. Titanium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. Titanium can be used to produce parts for the aerospace, military, industrial, and automotive fields.

Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber is very strong but light. It is used in the aerospace and automotive fields, as well as in sailboats, bicycles, and motorcycles. Its high strength-to-weight ratio makes it desirable for many applications.

Hastelloy

The primary benefit of Hastelloy is its survival under high-temperature, high-stress, moderately to severely corrosive, and/or erosion-prone environments, in which more common, less expensive, iron-based alloys would fail.

 Inconel

Inconel alloys are typically used in high-temperature applications. These alloys are oxidation and corrosion resistant.
